I found this little boutique, a real gem, called Switch My Style. I’m raging I didn’t know about it sooner!
So it was set up by Belinda, sound as they come, proper fashion head. She’s spent decades right in the thick of it, buying, designing, working with global brands, the whole shebang! And over time, she started clocking something that didn’t sit right at all. The amount of waste! The overproduction! Clothes being worn once, twice if you’re lucky, then tossed. And the damage it’s doing to the planet? Terrifying, honestly!
Now, there are sustainable brands popping up, fair play to them, but half the time they cost a fortune, which makes it hard to seriously engage with sustainability. We all wanna save the planet, but realistically, between price and practicality, where does that leave us?
And Belinda was just like, “No. This isn’t it. There has to be another way.”
